What is Novium?
Novium is presenting student rights and working for all the students to get fairly treated. We want everybody who study at Novium to get a high level education and to have an amazing time at the university!
All students that studies on bachelor level or is an exchange student gets a tutor. All members get their student card and student benefits. As the statutory student union at Novia, it’s Novium’s duty to choose student representatives at Novia. Novium is there for you as a student, so if you have any questions or ideas, don’t hesitate to take contact or just pop in to one of our offices.

As a member of Novium you can order a student card for free which will give you cheaper train and bus tickets with VR and Matkahoulto, discounts in the school cafeteria and cheaper entrance fees at events. You will also be able to run for the election, you can become a tutor and you will have the possibility to contact a person of harrassment if needed. Novium members also get a free union calendar!

There is an abundance of different events for students. For example, fun parties and events where you can meet other students and get to know new friends. There are also student fairs where you can meet potential employers, open workshops and lectures where you can learn more about a subject or create a better student life for yourself.

The BTS party - a party which takes place at the start of the fall semester for both new and older students at Novia.
The Anniversary party - Novium’s annual celebration is a solemn and festive occasion with everything that a formal students’ party needs.

The Student Body Election
In November of every year Novium elects a Student Body and a board for the next calendar year. The board is the Student Body’s executive branch which seats 15 members. All members who have paid their fee are eligible to vote and run in the election.
Together we have the power to make changes happen and improve things for students at Novia. By voting and running in the election you can change your and your fellow students’ future.
